We wanted to keep our maximum z-index at 1000, so if there is a way to avoid going above that, that would be preferable. Maybe we should cut the side nav down to 999 and keep the dropdown menu at 1000 |

Ah I see. No i did try 999 on the side navigation but that doesn't work. Closing PR and will look into this a bit more. Thanks |

My investigation shows that the
z-indexof the dropdown menu is equal to that of the side navigation (1000). I bumped the z-index value of the dropdown menu to 1001.
